Xtra Airways flies higher with Results CMS by Amadeus

Xtra Airways is the first North American carrier to benefit from Amadeus' low cost airline IT solution.

Madrid & Miami, 6 June 2006: Nevada-based Xtra Airways has selected and successfully implemented Results Customer Management Solution (CMS) by Amadeus, the hosting, reservation, fares and pricing, inventory and departure control solution designed specifically for the ready-to-market needs of small to medium-sized low cost carriers.

Xtra Airways will quickly and cost effectively benefit from the high degree of functionality and efficiency offered by Results CMS by Amadeus to support the airline’s business needs and low cost model.

Cookson said Results CMS by Amadeus will provide the distribution technology the carrier needs as it transitions from its former charter-only model to now offering scheduled departures, as well as its goal to expand into more global markets.

As part of Amadeus' focus to serve the distribution needs of carriers looking for an immediate, simplified and low cost solution, last year the company teamed up with Results Reservation Technologies Ltd. (RRT) to develop Results CMS by Amadeus. This robust technology platform combines Amadeus’ industry-leading hosting capability and RRT’s proven experience with the low-cost carrier marketplace. The collective expertise of both companies in the areas of sales reservations, inventory control, departure control, Web booking engines, and hosting is unsurpassed.

According to Peter von Moltke, Senior Vice President, Airline Business Group for Amadeus North America, airlines today -- from full service to low cost -- have unique business models and operational requirements and therefore need next-generation technology that is tailored accordingly.
