During Routes Americas 2026, Javier García Bejos, Chief Executive Officer of Aeropuertos Mexicanos (AME), and Gustavo Murad, Director Airports and Borders at Amadeus, met to reaffirm the commitment of both organizations to move forward with the implementation of the ACUS (Airport Cloud Use Service) system at Saltillo International Airport (SLW).

Amadeus is a global leader in technology solutions for the travel and air transport industry, with expertise in airport management platforms, operational systems, passenger processing, and common use technologies that enable efficiency and operational flexibility for airlines and airports. Its ACUS solution optimizes processes, improves service times, and facilitates check in and boarding operations in shared use environments.

Currently, AME’s other airports—Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM) and Tepic-Riviera Nayarit International Airport (TPQ)—are already equipped with Amadeus’ ACUS system. This has enabled more efficient operations, increased capacity to serve additional airlines, and a significant improvement in the passenger experience.

During the meeting, both parties reiterated their intention to consolidate a joint roadmap that will drive the technological modernization of Saltillo International Airport, with the aim of enhancing service quality, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the airport’s growth in this new phase under AME’s management.

"At AME, we are committed to raising operational and service standards across all our airports. Implementing ACUS in Saltillo is a fundamental step in modernizing its infrastructure and strengthening its growth potential. Our collaboration with Amadeus will allow us to move faster and in a structured way towards a more efficient and competitive operation to benefit airlines and passengers."

Javier García Bejos CEO, AME

"At Amadeus, we are truly proud and honored to support Aeropuertos Mexicanos in the modernization of its passenger services. Together, we are driving more agile and scalable operations and enabling a superior, consistent airport experience for all travelers,” affirmed Gustavo Murad, Director, Airports & Borders, Amadeus."

The implementation of ACUS at Saltillo will be a key step in standardizing processes, facilitating the arrival of new airlines, and strengthening the airport’s competitiveness within the group’s airport network.

AME and Amadeus will move forward with a coordinated execution plan to ensure an orderly and efficient transition to this technological platform, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of airport infrastructure in the north of the country.
