Companies partner to improve business traveler experiences with technology, signing multi-year agreement covering the Americas, APAC and EMEA
Siemens and Amadeus are forging a new path in digital transformation. As Siemens completes its global digital platform for its travel program, it is defining how corporations, global distribution partners and travel management companies (TMCs) can work together to streamline processes, simplify systems and achieve operational efficiency with technology. All with the ultimate goal of improving the overall traveler experience.
The companies’ multi-year agreement for global travel content distribution enables Siemens, and its employees via its TMC partners to access the Amadeus Travel Platform, a leading source of travel content that includes air, accommodations, car rental, transfers, rail and insurance across 81 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas. Additionally, Amadeus will supply Siemens with advisory services on available content options and how to maximize the value of sourcing content.
“Our goal is to create an innovative travel program with a global platform that shapes a new traveler experience, improving our company processes around shopping, booking and servicing travel,” said Albert James Kueng, Head of Global Travel Management, Siemens. “Amadeus is a key partner in helping us achieve this vision given its global footprint, its industry-leading technology and its sustainability for the future.”
Business travelers around the world know that access to the best possible selection of itineraries and fares, as well as the ability to efficiently manage changes, is critical when it means arriving at a destination in time for an important commitment. Siemens and its TMC partners can be confident they have omni-channel access to the most relevant, high-quality content, powered by 100% open systems.
“As we move forward, our focus is on implementing new, innovative ways to leverage technology to deliver smooth and safe travel experiences for business travelers,” said Rajiv Rajian, Executive Vice President, Business Travel and Head of Travel Channels Americas, Amadeus. “This agreement provides access to high-value travel content and services that will help Siemens drive change with innovation in its global travel program. With the Amadeus Travel Platform, Siemens will benefit from choice, consistency and transparency from a travel technology leader and the world’s largest distribution system.”
