That’s whyBelgrade airport,as part of VINCI Airports,hasturned to Amadeusto transform check-in and flightmanagement operations with the deployment of itsAltéaDeparture Control for Ground Handlers solution . The solution pavesthe way for new services toprovidepassengerswitha tailored experience, key to restoring traveler confidence in today’s changed travel environment.
The seven-year partnershipwill seeAmadeustechnologydeployedat BelgradeNikola TeslaAirportto streamlineservicesand lay the foundations for greater automation to cater for the needs of different traveler types. By automating key processes and guiding agents to follow best practice, services can be personalized based on a passenger’s profile or airline policy and ensures last-minute revenue opportunities can be maximized.
Amadeus’ solution will enablean efficientsinglesystem approach, meaningground handlingagentsdonot have to waste time learning how to use multipleairlinesystemsand resources can be deployed to focus on serving passengers. Amadeus’ flight management capability will be used tocentralizeload controlling to increase efficiencyand ensure baggage is loaded in a way that optimallybalancesthe weight of aircraft.
Meanwhile, airlineswill soon beable to apply specific business rules and serve passengers in a tailored wayat BelgradeNikola TeslaAirport. Carriers that use alternative departure control systems no longer need to deploy them locally at Belgrade as agents can now access third-party systems from a single Amadeus graphical user interface.

VINCI Airports signed a 25-year concession contract in March 2018 to finance, operate and upgrade the airport, with VINCIAirportsassuming control inDecember 2018.VINCIAirportsaims to increase the number of passengers using BelgradeNikola TeslaAirport from6,2million per year to 15 million within its concession.
