TAAG Angola Airlines has strengthened its partnership with Amadeus through a new agreement, which will provide the airline with a full range of Passenger Service System (PSS) solutions as well as the latest loyalty and digital capabilities
As the aviation industry navigates its greatest challenge to date, many carriers are using this time to prepare for the future.TAAG Angola Airlines, the flag carrier of the Republic of Angola, is turning this challenge into an opportunity by making sure it has the cutting-edge technology needed for the next decade of air travel. The carrier, which boasts an 80-year history, will adopt the fullAmadeus Altéa PSS in addition to a host of digital solutions designed to enhance the passenger experience. The agreement represents a significant milestone for an extended relationship between the two companies.
Carrying more than 1.5 million passengers per year, TAAG has established a powerful and unique hub in Angola’s capital Luanda. From this geographically advantageous airport, the carrier offers convenient regional and international connections to popular destinations in Africa as well as Europe and South America. In order to strengthen its regional and global presence, TAAG has partnered with Amadeus to transform its digital retailing capabilities and customer service.
TheAmadeus Altéa PSSis a ground-breaking solution that allows TAAG to streamline its mission-critical systems, including reservations, inventory, ticketing, and departure control. The Amadeus Altéa PSS will enable the airline to deliver more consistent and personalized customer service, pursue additional revenue-generating opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.Through Altéa, TAAG will also be able to achieve closer integration with its codeshare partners, thus increasing its international reach. Furthermore, Amadeus travel agencies booking the airline will enjoy the unique benefits of booking an Altéa carrier, including shared PNR and real-time information.
The airline will also be able to make faster, more accurate, and intelligent recommendations on prices thanks to Amadeus' advancedrevenue management technologypowered byartificial intelligence. With all the correct data at its fingertips, TAAG will be able to effortlessly sell the right seat for the right price at the right time. Coupled withAmadeus Revenue Accounting , the carrier will be able to ensure that expected revenue is obtained and accounted for in real time, while recognizing and forecasting the financial benefits and supporting their leaders with customized business recommendations.
In addition, theAmadeus Digital Experiencesuite will enable the carrier to connect with Amadeus and third-party providers to develop and share technology in a simple, agile, and open way. Empowered by this industry-leading technology, the airline can enhance the digital experience for its customers, from the inspiration phase through to the actual trip. Also, Amadeus' innovativepayment platformwill simplify the payment process and significantly reduce the airline's cost of payment, andAmadeus’ loyalty management solutions will enable TAAG to build a lifetime relationship with its customers by developing its loyalty program as a marketable brand.
