We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
Jet Asia Airways marks a key milestone as they conclude the fastest Amadeus Altéa migration to date
The Amadeus Alta Suite, used by more than 120 airlines globally, is a complete Passenger Service System that offers full reservation, inventory and departure control capabilities. The implementation of the Alta Suite will be key to Jet Asia Airways’ ongoing expansion programme, which includes the launch of a new network of scheduled passenger services that connect Thailand with North Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
In particular, the Alta Suite broadens Jet Asia Airways’ distribution channels enabling the airline to successfully enter new international markets and customer segments, such as online sales and bookings via travel agencies. Amadeus’ technology will additionally enable the airline to efficiently operate its new scheduled network, while still providing flexibility for it to also support its charter operations.
Jacob Saba, President of Jet Asia Airways, said, “We are delighted to hit this critical milestone for Jet Asia. As we continue to evolve our business model, having the right technology partner is key to ensuring that we are set up for success. With Amadeus’ strong track record working with airlines in Asia Pacific, we are excited to have partnered with them to drive our business forward.”
“As a small but fast growing airline, we were delighted at the speed and agility extended by the Amadeus implementation team to enable us to implement their leading edge technology in a record timeframe. The Alta system will be central to Jet Asia’s future growth and success” added Mr Saba.
Hazem Hussein, Vice President, Airline Commercial, Amadeus Asia Pacific, added, “This implementation is only the first step in the journey and we are excited and honoured to support Jet Asia Airways as they transform their business. We are committed to providing our expertise to support their goals in delivering their vision and strategy for the future, and are confident that our next-generation technology will deliver the flexibility, responsiveness and scalability required for success.”
In 2014, Jet Asia Airways inaugurated Full Service scheduled airline flights from Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo-Narita, Jakarta and Jeddah and plans to launch services to Seoul, Tianjin and Shenyang. The airline also operates a range of other charter services from North Asia to major tourist destinations in Thailand.
