Amadeus Benelux, 20 November 2013: Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, carried off the ANVR/Schiphol Innovation Award for Amadeus m-Power. A jury of experts selected this mobile application for travel agents over the other nominated innovative initiatives.
Amadeus m-Power, designed with the traveler as focal point, offers the option of “pre-trip, in-trip and post-trip” functionalities, enabling travel agents to offer their travelers additional services during the entire trip through their mobile phones. With the aid of a revolutionary new technology, search, book and pay functions for several airlines, flight alerts, real-time flight notifications, direct customer service, online check-in and social media functions can be offered in a single mobile application. Several (business) travel agents have meanwhile embraced Amadeus m-Power.
The jury of experts, consisting of Hanne Buis (Director Aviation Marketing, Schiphol Group), Frank Oostdam (Director ANVR), Jan Lokhoff (Founder Travmagazine) and the winner of the 2012 award Wim Butte (CEO, Airtrade) carefully considered a selection of eight nominees, with Amadeus mPower emerging as the winner in the end. The other nominees were: Unigarant Verzekeringen (Vriendendekking – ‘friends’ coverage’), DTA - Dutch Travel Alliance - (Dynamic Packaging 2013), Experience Travel (interactive travel brochures), Motivation Travel (Private Tour Guide), Zonvaart Reizen (TopClass), TUI Nederland (Sustainable Tourism Plan 2012-2015) and Pyton (Waverunner Smart Shopping).

The ANVR/Schiphol Innovation Award was presented to Amadeus during the annual ANVR Congress, which took place in Dresden this year.
