Aktau International Airport, the third largest airport in Kazakhstan in terms of traffic, has chosen Amadeus as a long-term IT partner. The airport implements Amadeus Airport Common Use Service
(ACUS) to reap the benefits of the most advanced airport technology on the market.
Airlines and ground handlers will be able to use single platform from a desktop computer or laptop, enabling passengers to be checked-in from any location. This will ensure the airport has greater operational flexibility and will be able to respond to peak travel times in a more efficient manner.
With ACUS, only a single connection is required between the airline Departure Control System (DCS) and the ACUS cloud platform, meaning airlines connect to Amadeus, rather than the local airport. The simplified network connectivity model results in strong operational savings for airlines. It also facilitates the opening of new routes by substantially reducing the time needed to deploy their applications at the airport.
Selcuk Kileci, CEO of Aktau International Airport said: “Amadeus has leading innovative solutions as well as expertise and capabilities to deliver them. With this technology we will bring the check-in and baggage registration process in line with current and future needs of airlines and travelers and provide a personalized experience for each passenger.”
Yannick Beunardeau, Global Head of Sales and Marketing, Airport IT at Amadeus said: “Amadeus Airport Common Use Service increases operational efficiencies for airports, airlines and ground handlers, and is improving the airport experience for the passengers. We are very pleased to be working with Aktau International Airport to see the airport benefits from the advantages of our technology.”
