Madrid, 20 January, 2005
– Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, today announced the integration of Logis de France hotels in its reservations system. Forty hotels are now available and a further sixty will be added by the end of January 2006.
With the addition of Logis de France, the country’s oldest hotel brand, Amadeus has taken a major step forward in its strategy to add essential, new and interesting content to its world-leading distribution platform. “Logis de France strengthens Amadeus’ range of a new style of hotels, "de charme", that were previously not distributed by the through distribution systems such as ours. These smaller, family-style hotels offer excellent services to leisure and business travelers. Amadeus travel agents, in France and around the world, now have even more to offer their customers when “selling” France, the world’s most popular destination,” says Christian Delom, Deputy Marketing and Development General Manager of Amadeus France.
Marie-Lou Lopez, Sales Director of Logis de France adds: “The distribution of our hotels through Amadeus system is a real opportunity. This agreement strengthens Logis de France’s efforts to market our brand to French and foreign travel agents who are looking for an alternative to propose to their customers: hotels at a human scale located across France, with one to one approach, authentic French cuisine all for an excellent price.”
Until now, Logis de France hotels were distributed direct to the consumer through the website www.logis-de-france.fr and a paper guide with a circulation of 650 000 copies. French and foreign travel agents and tour operators can also book through a call center.
Now, thanks to this agreement with Amadeus, Logis de France has adopted a truly multichannel distribution strategy for its range of charming hotels, and enjoys the efficiency of an automated booking process.
By signing this agreement, Amadeus and Logis de France respond to travel agents’ need to develop new revenues: Logis de France hotels integrated in Amadeus system will automatically pay 8% commissions. Logis de France has also established centralized payment: 100% deposit is required on Amadeus.
Amadeus will soon distribute more than 200 Logis de France hotels.
