Discover how IT solutions can help the aviation industry reduce CO2 emissions

Overview

Sustainability in air travel

As the appetite for travel and tourism continues to grow, so does the demand for more sustainable travel practices. Amadeus and Accenture have collaborated on a new research report that evaluates the potential impact of IT solutions available to support airlines and airports in reducing carbon emissions.

50K

mtCO2

Research on the 2 selected IT solutions, Amadeus Flight Management and Amadeus Sequence Manager, estimates that they reduced CO2 emissions by 50K metric tons in 2023

2.6M

mtCO2

When extrapolating these findings to all Amadeus customers currently using the solutions, CO2 emissions reduction in 2023 is estimated at 2.6M metric tons

5.7M

mtCO2

When extrapolating these findings to all applicable airports and airlines worldwide, CO2 emissions reduction in 2023 is estimated at 5.7M metric tons
