Amadeus and Travix are doing more than making bold strides, we’re successfully achieving important milestones to drive NDC forward. We’re excited to announce that Travix customers have successfully been making live bookings through Amadeus’ NDC-enabled Web Services solution since November 2018 in Austria, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
John Mangelaars, CEO, Travix has previously highlighted how important it is to provide a “single end-to-end process for booking and servicing NDC and non-NDC content”. The processing of live NDC bookings in the NDC-enabled Web Services solution shows both Amadeus and Travix’s commitment to achieving Mr. Mangelaars vision.
What value does Amadeus Web Services bring to online travel companies like Travix?
Amadeus’ NDC-enabled Web Services solution , backed by the Amadeus Travel Platform, showcases aggregated content coming from different sources including EDIFACT, NDC, and other APIs. What’s next for Amadeus and Travix?
We have an exciting journey ahead. Amadeus and Travix are collaborating with other industry players in our NDC [X] program to define the servicing requirements that an agency has once the booking has been made. These servicing requirements could range from making changes to the booking or adding ancillary services such as extra luggage.
The announcement of Travix processing live NDC bookings is a landmark moment in the NDC journey as Amadeus plans to roll-out more NDC-enabled solutions throughout the year.
