In keeping with its reputation, Phocuswright served up a diverse group of travel leaders who describe this conference as the “can’t miss” event of the year. The value of connections made and ideas shared on what start-ups and disruptors alike are doing to transform both the leisure and business traveler experience is hard to beat.

Phocuswright 2018

Phocuswright’s theme this year was the Power Paradox where speed and scale went head-to-head. Many people agree that speed and scale are at the crux of what drives innovation, but Amadeus President of Travel Channels Decius Valmorbida poses another perspective. Check out our video below to see what he said.

The Amadeus team was pleased to see business travel emerge on the program this year. Arlene Coyle, Senior Vice President, Corporations Sales, joined the Center Stage panel titled “The Remaking of Corporate Travel” along with Ronnie Gurion, Global Head of Uber for Business, David Holyoke, Global Head of Airbnb for Work, and industry veteran Jeffrey Katz, Journera CEO.

The panel agreed that business travel has untapped potential, particularly in how the end-to-end business travel user experience can be largely improved by looking beyond the trip itself.

From the Young Leaders and Start-up Summits to the Women’s Leadership Initiative to the Center Stage, Amadeus leaders were everywhere underscoring Amadeus’s growing presence in the highly competitive and innovative North American market.

Additionally, the Amadeus for Developers program debuted at this year’s conference, and Amadeus Video Solutions took the main stage in the LAUNCH competition.

We interviewed some of our top leaders to share perspective on why being at this event is important and how Amadeus’s focus on innovation sets us apart. Watch our video:
