Tomorrow is a special day for Amadeus: Our 30th anniversary. In 1987, our founders announced their vision for an independent and neutral global distribution system. They set the goal of becoming the preferred system for travel agents around the world. It is amazing to think about how far we have come. But today, I am looking much more at the future of Amadeus than the past.
Mobile devices, artificial intelligence, and data analytics are changing travel. These breakthroughs are giving people more ideas, options, and control over their journey. Amadeus is moving with these changes. We develop technology every day that harnesses the intelligent use of data, while integrating new devices and architectures to deliver personalised and unified journeys. We combine a deep understanding of how people travel with the ability to create the solutions our customers need.
We are better suited than ever to shape the future of travel with the talent we have. But travel is still out of reach for many. In the coming decades, Amadeus has the potential to help even more people and organisations explore our world. Travel builds economies, broadens culture, and creates connections between societies. Travel powers progress, creating value for our customers, travellers, and society. Amadeus powers travel.
