It’s not every day that a new airline takes flight. That’s why we knew we needed the right technology partner for our new venture in Argentina, and we chose to work with Amadeus. We are using the Amadeus Altéa Suite and Amadeus e-commerce solutions to begin our operations within the country, and we are also reaping the benefits of Amadeus’ distribution capabilities, through a full content contract that will secure our content for travel agencies connected to Amadeus around the world.
Our first flight from Aeroparque in Buenos Aires to Rosario, Argentina took off without a hitch on November 22nd, after months and years of hard work. Our main objective is to unite the different regions of Argentina through domestic flights, as well as with the rest of the world through international routes. And Amadeus’ state-of-the-art technology and global reach will help us to achieve our business goals.
With Altéa, Avianca Argentina will be able to comprehensively manage bookings, inventory and flight departures, for greater efficiency in our operations. In addition, Altéa also enables high operational efficiencies and measurable improvements in areas such as inventory management, customer service, and billing. It will also allow us to accelerate the development of interline and codeshare agreements with other airlines in the region and around the world.
Amadeus has also provided us with the flexibility of a scalable solution that can evolve together with our business, whether we are focusing on the domestic or the international market. For example, the Altéa and distribution solutions will support Avianca Argentina's quick and efficient entry into the market so that we can focus on air routes that are currently untapped in Argentina.
