It’s been over a decade since Ryanair’s low fares were available to travel agents via Amadeus. Now we’re excited to be back and let me explain why.  There was a time when it made sense for us to take advantage of the internet to establish low cost distribution via our own website. While Ryanair.com will continue to be our primary means of distribution – we think the timing is right to bring travel agents back to play an  important role in our distribution mix.

We are evolving the airline and a big part of that is adjusting our offer to appeal to Europe’s business travellers. A quarter of Ryanair's customers already fly for business and we believe we can bring down travel expenses even further for European companies.

Our unmatched low fares, industry-leading punctuality and Europe’s largest route network are all here to stay but we’ve made several changes that make Ryanair even more appealing to business travellers.

Our new Business Plus fares include all the services business travellers need for an efficient, punctual and hassle-free experience.  The tailored package includes flexibility on ticket changes, 20kg checked baggage allowance, fast track airport security, priority boarding and premium seats.

Our ‘Always Getting Better’ programme has seen a host of other customer service improvements including allocated seating, a free second carry-on bag, reduced fees, enhancements to our website and a brand new Ryanair app that includes mobile boarding passes.

This agreement with Amadeuswill mean Europe’s TMCs and travel agents can access a wide range of our fares as well as our complete range of ancillary services. That’s good news for travel agents, Ryanair and travellers alike. Our aim is to broaden our distribution approachto ensure as many people as possible can see our low fares. Amadeus’ Ticketless Access technology incorporating Light Ticketing enhancements means we can connect to the Amadeus system using an API. It makes GDS distribution simple and efficient.

For our travel agency partners, Light Ticketing means the experience of booking Ryanair’s low fares is exactly the same as booking a traditional airline so there’s even more reason to recommend Ryanair to your customers.
