We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.

Through month-long challenges such as #plasticfree, #resourcewise, #greenonholiday and #zerowaste, over 6,000 colleagues (and counting) have shared information, encouraged change in personal habits and promoted ideas to improve our environmental sustainability in the office. Great ideas have been spreading across offices around the world, with plastic cutlery being removed, glassware and mugs replacing paper and plastic cups, and other improvements in our sustainability practices. It’s exciting to see colleagues taking these challenges out of the office and making personal commitments to refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle.
Amadeus employees have also shared personal stories of how they cooperate with different organizations. In Nice and Bangkok, colleagues dive in their free time to collect litter from the ocean floor; teams across Asia spend time to clean up the streets, parks and neighborhoods during World Cleanup Day. Miami employees collect and donate nearly-new shoes to help those most in need.
These stories are a powerful testimony that having a positive impact and focusing on sustainability are inherent parts of the Amadeus DNA and an intrinsic and indelible part of our company make-up and culture. But can we go further in our journey? Yes. We can!
Every day our people apply their brainpower to innovating and collaborating with customers and partners to move fast, deliver on new possibilities and solve problems.
As a responsible and sustainable business, Amadeus is committed to using our collective brainpower to help global travel have a positive impact on communities and grow sustainably around the world.
That’s why we are currently launching our #AmadeusVolunteer Day across multiple sites around the world. The company is donating a day of each employee’s time, while they bring their unique passion and enthusiasm to help improve the environment in their communities.
Imagine how big a difference a company of 19,000 employees around the globe can make if each one of us takes up a small action to help the environment. By saying no to one plastic bottle a day or picking up one canister from the street and putting it in the trash for recycling, I believe our #AmadeusVolunteer teams across the world can move and inspire their communities.
Join us in our collective effort to think global and act local for our planet!
