At the core of our business is a commitment to sustainability in the travel industry. Hard work has helped us become recognized among the world’s leaders in sustainability.

Now, we are proud to further our sustainable business practices by joining the UN Global Compact.

What is the UN Global Compact? It's a leadership platform that provides access to a global community of corporations, best practices, and tools that can help us grow our sustainability, social and environmental efforts.

The aim of the UN Global Compact is twofold. It's a call to companies around the world to align with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. It also encourages the support of United Nations-led goals set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Many of our Amadeus customers already adhere to the UN Global Compact. These companies expect us to align with the same universally recognized principles as they do.

By participating in the UN Global Compact, we have the basis to become an even stronger, more responsible, and sustainable company. This is accompanied by our standing on the Dow Jones, FTSE 4 Good, Carbon Disclosure Project, and Global Reporting Initiativerankings. It also solidifies our reputation as a Top Employer and Best Place to Work.

We use our technology, expertise, and global network to guarantee travel industry sustainability. And with this new step, we are proud to join thousands of likeminded companies in taking business action to create a more sustainable world.

We look forward to sharing our progress on the UN Global Compact soon. To learn more about our sustainability efforts, have a look at the Amadeus Global Report 2017.
