On your next holiday, are you looking for stunning views of the European countryside… perhaps the continent’s highest perpendicular rock face at Trollveggen, Norway or the picture-perfect rustic villages of Cinque Terre, Italy? Would you like to take your time and savor the amazing sights along the way?

Train travel is your best bet! Nothing can match the magic of a train journey - scenic routes, the freedom to walk around, no stress over baggage limits or traveling with kids. And last but not least, a more sustainable way of getting around.

Amadeus is leading the way, providing railways with new ways of connecting with the travel marketplace. Our rail booking solutions make train travel more accessible, offering new content and making train bookings easy.

New rail content for Amadeus Air-Rail Display users

It’s against this background, we’ve recently expanded our partnership with AccesRail to include train travel options in Norway and Italy in Amadeus Air-Rail Display. Amadeus Selling Platform users, can now search and book high-speed train tickets from the Italian national railway, Trenitalia, as a complement or as an alternative to a flight. Similarly, if Norway is the destination of choice, it’s possible to book train tickets with the Norwegian national railway, Vy, from Oslo Airport for travel throughout the country.

More rail content, wider choice

With a single connection to the Amadeus Travel Platform, railways can say hello to global markets and the hassle-free worldwide distribution.

Our growing rail distribution network covers 170 countries, with access to hundreds of thousands of agency points of sale. We offer a wide range of selling interfaces, which means railways can sell to diverse audiences including retail and business travel agencies, online travel companies and corporations.

Trains are perhaps one of the most underexploited means of travel. But this is set to change. As rail operators respond to changing traveler needs and find better ways of distributing their content, international train travel will become much easier and more accessible.
