We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
Ghana’s first ever National Aviation Awards brought together top travel players to recognise their achievements and contributions to Africa’s aviation industry. I am delighted to say that Amadeus earned the Aviation Technology Achievement Award, which recognises companies that “demonstrate innovation and follow-through in the application of a new technology or system that has enhanced their operational, financial and or market share performance.”
We believe that technology is the key to helping our airline partners in Ghana grow and extend their reach and exposure to international markets and travellers. A prime example of this is our partnership with Africa World Airlines (AWA), based in Accra, who have partnered with the Amadeus distribution channel, making its full inventory available to travel agencies for the first time.
Africa is a very important market for us. As such, Amadeus is proud to be working very closely with the airlines in the region by listening to their experiences and supporting them in their strategies to serve the continent. We help them leverage technology that is relevant for their growth – from meeting their distribution needs, to embracing digital commerce, building their passenger services systems, and developing the new airport infrastructure to enable the full potential of the region.

I would like to congratulate and thank my colleagues in Africa, including Mesape Sube, Country Manager, Amadeus Ghana, our commercial team, and especially our airline and travel agency partners in the region for this award.
