London Fashion Week has enveloped us with an extra dose of glamour and excitement, but for all of us at Amadeus UK & Ireland, the excitement stems from the award we brought home on Monday at the TTG Travel Awards that took place at London’s Lyceum Theatre.
Amadeus was awarded the 2016 Travel Technology Company of the Year; and we couldn’t be prouder, because this award comes from both our customers and our peers. The judging process is based on votes coming from UK travel agents to establish the shortlist, followed by the votes from an impressive panel of judges, handpicked by TTG to represent the industry. That makes it better than the Emmys or the Oscars for those of us working in travel technology.
This award is all the sweeter, if possible, following on from 2 other industry awardspresented to Amadeus UK & Ireland earlier this year: Best Travel Technology Provider in the 2016 Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards, and in the 2016 Irish Travel Industry Awards.
We’ve spoken before about our leading investment in R&D, but never before has it been so evident in the range of solutions launched in the UK and Ireland in 2016; including cutting edge selling tools for travel professionals, tools for managing payments with virtual credit cards, as well as a new integrated Travel & Expense tool for corporations and the TMCs that serve them. Amadeus has demonstrated true innovationto differentiate itself from competitors.
