An important change to the selection of the ideas for travel competition winners

I’m sure that many people are anxious to know who won the ideas for travel competition and why there has been a delay in announcing the results. Several comments from participants and our own initial investigations show malpractice in the competition. We are currently investigating the matter fully to establish more information and have closed the website to ensure that no further suspicious activity is possible.

While this development is disappointing, our focus remains on conducting the competition in the fairest way for all participants who have acted in good faith, contributing their considerable time and so many innovative ideas. To that end, we will declare the voting invalid and no votes will be considered for the five People’s Prizes. All winners will now be decided by the judges, who will select one grand prize winner and five runners up.

The grand prize winner will receive a 20,000 Euro prize and the five runners up will each receive a prize of 2,000 Euros.

The competition terms and conditions are being amended accordingly and will be posted on the competition website in the coming days, and we have contacted all participants by email.

We would like to thank those of you who have taken part for your ongoing patience and understanding.

We look forward to announcing the winners by 30 September 2011.
