We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
My fellow runners and I were cheered on by singing, dancing, and a festive atmosphere. We decided to run the race for a good cause, making the arduous trek all the more worth it. The Amadeus team raised money for Helping Hands and the Magic Bus charity organisations, each of which do fantastic work to help the less fortunate both locally and internationally.
I had the honour of joining more than 190 costume clad athletes from Amadeus as they took to the Promenade des Anglais in Nice on Sunday to run in a carnival themed 5k and 10k race. The weekend run, which was punctuated by the famous Carnaval de Nice atmosphere, featured a course bedecked in colourful decorations and intricately designed floats.
As of just prior to race time, more than €14,000 was raised for the charities through donations, bake sales and other activities, but there’s still time to donate, which you can do via the Helping Hands – Run & Raise site.
Have a look at the Run & Raise Carnaval Run Facebook page for more pictures from the event and be sure to share with us your experiences if you were there.
