Amadeus recognised on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Tomas López Fernebrand

SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Amadeus IT Group

Being a good corporate citizen is part of who we are and proof of this commitment is the latest inclusion of Amadeus on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in the IT & Internet Software and Services sector for the fourth consecutive year.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are composed of global sustainability leaders identified based on economic, environmental, and social criteria. Considered amongst the most renowned of standards for evaluating sustainability and environmental performance available to investors, only those companies among the top 10% of scorers enter the DJSI.

This inclusion on the DJSI coincides with our recognition on the FTSE4Good Index , which measures the performance of companies based upon their environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.

More and more travellers expect that the companies they book or travel with to engage in sustainable business practices. We must demonstrate that our business practices are transparent and that each journey will have a positive impact on both society and the environment.

At Amadeus we have long been committed to ensuring that the future of travel remains sustainable. Recognition of that approach from the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, for the fourth consecutive year, and from the FTSE4Good index too, each with a significant investor following, only inspires us to achieve even higher ambitions.

All the information about our sustainability and governance practices are available in the Amadeus Global Report . Have a look at our sustainable future of travel site for more about our vision.
