Data Privacy Consent Statement

This Careers Site is operated by Amadeus IT Group, S.A. (C/ Salvador de Madariaga 1, 28027 Madrid, Spain) in order to support the recruitment functions of Amadeus IT Group, S.A. and its affiliated entities (collectively, “Amadeus”). 

This Careers Site Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is applicable to all the information collected by Amadeus from you during the recruitment process, for example, data collected via your use of our Careers site, located at (the “Careers Site”), like your CV and application form, information obtained from your education certificates, passport and other identity documents, or collected through interviews and other forms of assessment. 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the personal information that Amadeus may process about you as a traveler or consumer of products offered within the Amadeus System.


Legal basis

It is our legitimate interest to process and keep your personal data from the moment you provide it to us via your candidate profile and specific job applications, and that we collect during and after the recruitment process. It allows us to attract the best candidates, manage the hiring process effectively, assess and confirm a candidate's suitability for employment and decide to whom we want to offer the job. 

In some cases, we need to process data to ensure that we are complying with legal obligations and defend against legal claims. 

If you do not agree to the terms of this privacy notice, you will not be allowed access to apply for a position.


Information Amadeus collects from you

This Notice covers any personal information you provide us with when you submit your information and that we collect during the Recruitment process, such as: 

  • information you submit through the Careers Site as part of the job application or job search process, including:
    • name, contact information;
    • log-in and password;
    • CV, résumé, cover letter, previous work experience and education information;
    • employment preferences, willingness to relocate, current salary, desired salary and how you heard about the Careers Site; 
    • professional and other work-related licenses, permits and certifications held;
    • language and other relevant skills;
    • awards and professional memberships;
    • eligibility to work in country where the job applied for is located, available start date; 
    • information relating to references; and
    • other specific work experience / qualification details as per the position requirements. 

When submitting your information, please fill the fields required and avoid including any other information not specifically asked for by Amadeus. Please do not submit sensitive information (like your sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, beliefs and disability), except where such information is legally required or to help us make reasonable adjustments for candidates who have a disability. We will process such information only to carry out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment.

  • Information we collect during the interviews and other forms of assessment, for example language tests
  • Information we collect about you from other sources, like:
    • Your named referees, from whom we collect your personal data such as full name or periods of previous employment.

If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/résumé, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that third party prior to passing the personal information to us.

  • Publicly accessible sources, such as LinkedIn, etc., where we collect your full name, email, work history, and other data included on your profile. 

You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way and does not infringe on any third party’s rights, or is not otherwise legally actionable by such third party.


How Amadeus uses information collected from you

Personal information you share with us and that we collect about you during the recruitment process will be used, transferred and disclosed (“processed”) for Amadeus global recruitment functions and for related management and planning purposes. Amadeus will use your personal information as permitted by local law, to:

  • process your application;
  • assess your capabilities and qualifications for a job;
  • conduct reference checks;
  • provide to you any services available on the Careers Site from time to time;
  • communicate with you;
  • comply with any applicable law or regulation;
  • monitor and record services whether provided by Amadeus or a third party; and
  • conduct background checks if you are offered a job.

Personal information about you may be added to the Amadeus international candidate database and will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at Amadeus. If we elect to make you an offer, personal information you submit may be incorporated into our human resources system and used to manage the new-hire process. If you become an employee, any personal information that you submit may become a part of your employee file and may be used for other employment/work-related purposes.

The provision of personal information on the Careers Site is voluntary. Please note, however, that failure to provide sufficient information, may result in Amadeus being unable to consider your employment application or, if employment is offered, your subsequent promotion, transfer or relocation.


Who is your Personal Information shared with?

The information that you submit on the Careers Site may be disclosed:

  • to employees, consultants and/or service providers of Amadeus around the world for the purposes set out in this Notice above.
  • to a third party in the event of any reorganizations, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including without limitation in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
  • if necessary:
    • under applicable law including laws outside your country of residence.
    • to comply with legal processes.
    • to respond to requests from public and government authorities including public and government authorities outside your country of residence.
    • to enforce our terms and conditions.

If you had been referred to the position you applied for, the status of your application will be shared with your referrer.

Where such disclosures take place, Amadeus requires the appropriate technical and organizational security measures to be in place to protect personal data and for personal data to be processed lawfully.     

Amadeus only allow affiliates and third party service providers to use personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with Amadeus instructions. 

Any sharing of personal information using third party platforms would be governed by the terms of the third party platform used. 

If you are an Amadeus employee, please note that fields between My Talent Profile and the Candidate Profile (internal application) will be synchronized to minimize your efforts when updating the forms. These fields are: Education, Languages, Internal/Amadeus Work Experience and External Work Experience.


International Transfer of Traveler Personal Data

When Amadeus shares your personal data with its affiliates and third party service providers who process personal data on behalf of Amadeus, this will involve transferring personal data outside the EEA. When personal data is transferred to another country, it will continue to receive adequate protection through contractual or other arrangements put in place with Affiliates and third party service providers. For these transfers, at least one of the following appropriate safeguards will be implemented:

  • Personal data will be transferred to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission; 
  • Standard data protection clauses approved by the European Commission which give personal data transferred the same protection it has in EEA; 
  • With affiliates and third party service providers based in the US, Privacy Shield which gives personal data similar protection it has in EEA;

Retention Period

Amadeus retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. 

Your profile will be deleted after 3 years of inactivity, counting from the last login date; and your application form, if unsuccessful, will be deleted after 2 years (6 months for Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Malta, Romania, Slovenia, Netherlands and UK) after the closing of the vacancy opening in our system. Deletion of your application form will not affect your candidate profile, which will remain intact as long as you are still using it. 

You can delete your candidate profile at any moment by logging into your account and choosing ‘Delete Profile’ option‘ from ‘My Profile’ section available there.



We and our service providers may use “cookies” and similar technologies on the Careers Site. We may use cookies and other technologies to better serve you with more tailored information and facilitate your ongoing access to and use of our Careers Site. Security and Integrity of Personal Information 

We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information under our control. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please do not send us sensitive information through e-mail. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), you must immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the contacting section of this Site. Please note that e-mail communications will not necessarily be secure; accordingly, you should not include credit card information in your e-mail correspondence with us.

When Personal Data is processed on behalf of Amadeus, access is limited to those who have a business need to know. Personal Data will be processed in accordance with the instructions of Amadeus and those who have access are subject to a duty of confidentiality. 

Amadeus has procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify individuals and any applicable regulator of a breach where they are legally required to do so.  


Third party sites and sending messages through the site

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including without limitation any third party operating any site to which this Site contains a link; or any third party platform such as a social media platform where Amadeus may share personal information at your request. Where personal information is shared in this way, the use of the personal information will be governed by the terms of the third party platform you have requested personal information is shared with. The inclusion of a link on the Site does not imply endorsement of the linked site by us.

This site may permit you to send messages regarding site-related content to another individual though the site. If you wish to use this feature, you may be required to provide us with the individual’s email address. By using this functionality, you affirm that you are entitled to use and provide us with the recipient's name and email address for this purpose. Amadeus shall not assume any liability that may arise from sending these kind of messages to the recipients, because we are doing this at your request.

Law Applicable to Job Application

This Career Site allows you to apply for jobs based in other jurisdictions. Recruitment processes related to Job requisitions posted on this site will be governed by the laws of the country where the job is located. By applying for a job through this site, you accept that the laws of the country where the job is located shall apply to the respective recruitment process.

This Careers Site is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation.


Data Access and Correction

You may access, review, and change some of the personal information collected about you and stored on the Careers Site by logging into the Careers Site and choosing to update your account information. The updated profile will be used as the default the next time you use the Careers Site. To change personal information that you already have submitted for consideration for a specific position, please resubmit your application to update personal information about you that is associated with that job application. We encourage you to promptly update your personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. Upon your request, we will deactivate or remove your personal information from our active databases, although some information may be retained according to our internal policies, or as permitted or required by law.
