We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
Tomas López Fernebrand
SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Amadeus
For the seventh consecutive year, Amadeus has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in both the World and Europe categories. About 100 companies in our sector are invited to participate in the DJSI and only 11 have been included in the Indices.
Sustainability permeates through all we do as a business. The inclusion of Amadeus in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices is the result of a company-wide effort, and our continued inclusion on the index year after year shows that our sustainability strategy and practices are moving in the right direction.
We are also glad to confirm that we have once again been included in the FTSE4Good indices. The FTSE4Good Index Series includes companies that reflect strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risk management practices.
Sustainability indices help us assess how we are positioned against other companies in the software & services industry. They also help to create greater awareness about sustainability, both internally and externally, and to identify areas for improvement.
It’s an honor to receive this type of recognition, but we are conscious that sustainability is a road, rather than a destination. Continuous improvement is required if we want to contribute to the long-term sustainable growth of our company and our industry. With our technology, global network and travel industry expertise, we are in a unique position to make a positive contribution to the sustainability of our industry.
You can find out more about our sustainability efforts in the Amadeus Global Report 2017.
