There are worse ways to start a week than boarding an airplane to Bali. What initially seemed like a typical Amadeus customer event, suddenly turned into a unique opportunity for startups to build relationships with our customers, which they can fall back on when they scale.

Amadeus Next is facilitating this connection to ensure that startups can validate their solutions in the market quicker. In essence, Amadeus Next aims to build and foster the leading travel tech community in Asia Pacific to help startups grow by providing technology, expertise, reach and funding. And this week in Bali, it was all about reach.

During our Online Connect 2016 event, start-ups were able to gain first hand feedback from industry experts, enter into business discussions with potential partners, and update their address books all in one go. Apart from this, we literally gave startups the stage to pitch their solutions. BorderPass, who was voted the Amadeus Next start-up of the year, is now confident that they are addressing a problem worth solving.
