That is why I am very pleased that our employee share match plan has been internationally recognised, for the second year in a row.
Recently in London, I had the pleasure of collecting a prize for "Most effective communication of an employee share plan" on behalf of Amadeus at the 22nd annual edition of the ifs ProShare awards .
These awards aim to recognise excellence in the field of employee share ownership and, building upon our success at the previous edition , Amadeus’ leading role in this regard was acknowledged by the judging panel out of 36 short-listed international companies.
The judges thought our submission impressed, with Amadeus having added new features to its already successful communications programme in eight languages, leading to 40% of employees across 42 companies in 29 countries participating in the 2014 edition of the Share Match Plan.
There is no doubt that our employees and company culture represents a real competitive advantage that differentiates us in the way we interact with our customers and all industry players.
