The Middle East is estimated to see strong growth in the coming decades and its central location makes it the ideal global air traffic hub. We are working with Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) to make the most of this advantage through the strength of innovation.
OurAltéa NDC solution
is helping Saudia extend its reach by distributing advanced merchandising offers to third parties. As Saudia’s IT provider, supplying a wide range of solutions including ourAltéa Passenger Service System
(PSS), we are helping them take an omnichannel approach. By doing this, Saudia content is available via NDC XML connectivity to meta-search engines, travel agencies, and technology providers.
Our Altéa NDC solution provides Saudia with the capability for NDC-based shopping and booking. In short, we are delivering the IT elements of Saudia’s end-to-end NDC process including ‘Offer’ and ‘Order’ management capabilities. This means Saudia can integrate different merchandising offers, ancillary services, and fare families into the new NDC booking flow for presentation to third parties and ultimately the traveler.
Best of all, the Altéa NDC solution includes tight integration with core Altéa PSS functions including the shopping engine. This brings several benefits to airlines, including:
- Rapid speed to market, and one of the fastest ways for airlines to gain IATA Level 3 NDC certification – for example, Saudia achieved Level 3 certification in June last year
- Optimised costs, due to working with Amadeus as a long-term strategic partner
- 100% consistency between offers made on the airline website and through the NDC API
- Single PNR for the airline and no data desynchronization
- Full offer control for airlines, while only needing to set-up merchandising policy in one place
- No need to trade control for integration, offering the best of both worlds
- Dedicated local support from Amadeus teams
