Many airlines are engaged in a variety of programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The objective of this White Paper is to consolidate airline initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, to understand what the impact of these initiatives in the fight against climate change is and how can we accelerate the speed at which emissions are being tackled at global level.

Dr. Susanne Becken from Griffith University has produced this report that uses various data sources to consolidate a global view on airline initiatives. The analysis includes an assessment of certain emissions mitigation measures like carbon offsetting and the use of sustainable aviation fuel and provides a set of recommendations as to how to accelerate action against climate change.
