Restel and Amadeus enhance traveler choice by offering a wider range of hotel properties to travel sellers

This unique agreement sees Amadeus become the first GDS to offer Restel’s portfolio of 150,000 hotel properties

Travelers are demanding greater choice and convenience regardless of the channel through which they choose to shop.

Now, travel sellers can easily and conveniently search and book Restel’s extensive portfolio of more than 150,000 aggregated hotels through Amadeus. The move means travel sellers in Europe, Middle East and Africa can incorporate Restel hotel bookings alongside flights and other travel products in a single traveler itinerary, whilst benefitting from Amadeus’ fully automated processes and wide variety of payment options. It represents a growth of around 20% in hotel availability through Amadeus.

Restel is part of the Hotusa Group, a company that has grown from its roots as an alliance of independent hotel chains in Spain to offer a wide range of hotel operation and aggregation services. Importantly, the agreement secures the same hotel content that can be found in Restel’s own B2B web booking platform.

Restel’s hotel content, including independents and major hotel chains, is now available to travel sellers through Amadeus’ comprehensive points of sale & Web Services. Travel sellers will benefit from Restel’s particularly strong coverage across Western European markets such as Benelux, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Spain and the UK.
