Amadeus technology continues to underpin dnata’s services at Dubai Airports and other key airports around the world
dnata is one of the world’s largest air services providers with operations at more than 120 airports around the world and is constantly exploring ways to improve its services through the application of advanced technology. This is evidenced in dnata’s partnership with Amadeus, building on its existing partnership with a new long-term agreement that supports dnata’s drive for greater standardization of the systems used across its global operations.
Amadeus will continue to power dnata’s innovative centralized load control service for airlines at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central. dnata was one of the first ground handlers to benefit from Amadeus’ cloud technology for flight management when it decided to centralize load controllers into a single hub at Dubai. The hub has so far helped airlines to manage more than one million flights more efficiently thanks to this approach. The expanded agreement also sees the partners explore the transition to new technology leveraging the Amadeus cloud platform for airport operations, which will help dnata enhance its processes and reduce costs across the world.
As part of the new partnership, ground handlers will continue to rely onAmadeus’ Altéa Departure Control System for Ground Handlers to provide services to passengers; as well as weight and balance services to a variety of airlines at various airports where dnata operates.
Jaffar Dawood, Senior Vice President, Airline Services, dnata, said: ”We are committed to investing in leading technologies to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency across our operations. We are confident that Amadeus’ innovative solution will help us continue to provide best-in-class services to our customers. We look forward to continuing our successful cooperation with Amadeus.“
Yannick Beunardeau, Vice President Airport IT, EMEA, Amadeus says: “dnata and Amadeus have enjoyed a longstanding, successful partnership. Our renewed agreement will enable dnata to unlock savings across its global operations network with Amadeus’ efficient and simplified technology. We are committed to helping dnata apply cloud-based solutions in more areas of its business as part of its drive to serve its airline and airport partners more flexibly."
