Last Friday, on the same day as the Fête de la Musique celebrated every year in France and in other countries around the world, our R&D headquarters near Nice, France was transformed, into a giant venue of festivities to host this year's countryside-themed Summer Party.
Hay stacks, picnic blankets, and straw hats set the tone for a warm summer solstice evening where 1,600 Amadeus employees swayed to the musical talents their colleagues, formed up into four bands playing a mixture of rock, jazz and blues.
This festival of music is truly a bastion of creativity – and it is events like this that foster our professional creativity – keeping us at the forefront of developing innovative travel technology.
Nice has long been the go-to destination for some of history’s greatest minds – from Matisse to Nietzsche – the clean air, rousing landscapes, and soft light of France’s Mediterranean coast have inspired some of the world's most notable creative minds – and today it inspires our employees to push the boundaries of travel technology.
