Airline merchandising has been growing fast in recent years. Travellers now expect a frictionless and efficient shopping experience whether they are on their mobiles or on their PCs. They also want to compare and buy products, like an extra bag, or services, like seat selection, from the retailer of their choice. And because time is of the essence, most travellers expect one-stop shopping from whichever retailer they choose and for their value to be differentiated in a way that is easy to understand.
This is exactly what we are doing at Tickets Travel Network. As a full service online travel agency, we want to provide diversified content to our customers so that they can customise their travel experience with ancillariesor with airline bundled fares. We want them to enjoy a convenient shopping experience, an intuitive interface, and a fast booking flow.
Technology moves fast and offers vast opportunities, but time and resources are limited. Like in any business, we have to prioritise our investments. For us, airline merchandising is one of those priorities as we expect it will help us increase revenues while improving our service offering to our customers. We recently launched ancillary services and plan to expand in this area, and we are also in the process of integrating airline branded fares.
Getting it right means choosing the right partners and working collaboratively. Amadeus has supported our growth from our beginnings in 2009, all the way through to the 14 sites we currently run. Through this extended relationship, we are moving into a new era of value generation to sell à-la-carte services from more than 60 airlines.
