Our generous passengers have donated approximately 3.3 million NOK (Almost $390,000 USD) since June of 2015 via the Amadeus Donation Engine, which allows travellers to contribute funds to UNICEF when purchasing their flights online. Passengers simply ‘Click for Change’ when finishing their ticket purchase and a small donation of their choice goes directly to support UNICEF’s work for children.
There’s an old Norwegian proverb, “D'er mange ǿksarhogg, som eiki skal fella“, which is the English equivalent of “Little strokes fell great oaks.” I think this saying does a good job representing our fundraising efforts for UNICEF aided by Amadeus’ technological expertise.
Children are the future and Norwegian is committed to contributing to make the world a better place for the ones who need it the most. We also believe that it is important to enable our staff and customers to make a difference. Amadeus’ donation engine makes it easy for our customers to do this and is an important part of Norwegian’s corporate responsibility strategy.
