We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
Ignacio Peña Ayerza
Director & Revenue Manager, iP Hoteles
We’re an Argentine based hotel solutions company for the Latin American market and relatively new when it comes to global distribution, but we have big plans for expansion.
Last year we partnered with Amadeus LinkHotelfor GDS connectivity and haven’t looked back since.
iP Hoteles chose Amadeus LinkHotel because it was a perfect match for our hotels, which are predominantly 3-4 star, privately-owned properties with no GDS representation. We’ve found the multi-GDS services, which can distribute our hotels on all the major GDSs providing instant, international coverage to be especially appealing.
There is limited knowledge amongst hoteliers in the region about the opportunities to be gained from expanding sales beyond established markets through the GDS and we are doing our best to educate hotels on the importance of GDS-friendly booking policies, rate parity, corporate hotel programmes, and open inventory.
For hotels thinking about joining a GDS, we can offer this advice: If you aren't on the GDS, you won't be able to receive the high yield, high value business that the major travel agencies generate. And if it's not going to your hotel, it's going somewhere else!
We are delighted with the professionalism and commitment that we have experienced with Amadeus LinkHotel and hope that our partnership will be extremely fruitful. We look forward to growing our business across Latin America with Amadeus.
