Amadeus and Microsoft are harnessing technology, as well as passion, to innovate and explore the new products and solutions that will create the travel experiences of the future.
The initial steps of this process were examined in the paper 'Journey to Cloud Planet ' (published in 2021) which explored how to unleash the next wave of innovation in the travel industry and take advantage of the possibilities cloud technology offers.
The next steps on the journey are explored in this new co-authored report entitled ‘Delivering Traveler Value: Inspiring, understanding and fulfilling expectations throughout the travel experience and beyond’. Specifically, how new technologies will make the experience of travel better, and how a focus on the ‘purpose’ and ‘context’ of each trip will allow the industry to maximize value.
The report also unveils some of the latest milestones of theglobal strategic partnership between Microsoft and Amadeus.
The report draws on work from Northstar Research Partners, which was commissioned to survey 2,400 business and leisure travelers in six key markets around the world. The findings provide quantifiable evidence, supported by in-depth interviews with senior leaders from Amadeus, Microsoft and across the travel industry.
