Two of the largest K-Pop groups, BTS and BIGBANG, are currently on sell-out global tours. Their fanbases and impact are hard to overstate; BTS alone has 81.6 million followers on Instagram and has racked up over 55 billion streams on Spotify. For context, that’s more than the entire population of Thailand in Instagram followers and over 300,000 years of continuous listening. BTS and BIGBANG’s return has started to sell out stadiums – but how is travel impacted?

Analysis from Amadeus Travel Intelligence reveals significant spikes in flight bookings and occupancy in Nagoya, Singapore and Bangkok on BTS and BIGBANG performance days.
