easyJet plots course for continued growth through renewed partnership with Amadeus

Agreement builds on longstanding partnership supporting easyJet’s multi-channel strategy driving business bookings
Amadeus-connected travel agencies can continue to access easyJet’s range of content through the Amadeus Travel Platform

easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, and Amadeus today announce the renewal of a long-term agreement, giving travel sellers continued access to easyJet’s range of fares.

The distribution agreement will support the airline’s multi-channel growth strategy by continuing to focus on business travellers and ensuring easy access to book the airline’s range of business-friendly products such as Inclusive and FLEXI Fares.

easyJet and Amadeus originally began working together in 2007. In subsequent years, easyJet became the pilot carrier for Amadeus’ innovative light ticketing functionality, which allows travel agencies to book easyJet like any other carrier whilst the airline uses XML-technology to connect to Amadeus.

Through the continued use of this technology, easyJet will sell its’ range of products and seats. Amadeus has also been instrumental in supporting easyJet’s growth of bookings via the Amadeus Travel Platform and its global travel agency network year-over-year.

Amadeus partners with more than 110 low-cost and hybrid carriers today. LCCs are fully integrated in the Amadeus Travel Platform which means integrated side-by-side comparison and automated single workflow booking. This brings efficiencies for travel sellers while allowing LCCs to maximize growth opportunities through Amadeus’ global travel agency network.
