Grupo Julià creates a multi-channel distribution platform with Amadeus

The new platform will allow Julià to distribute its entire catalogue quickly and easily to its 12 million customers in all the destinations in which the company operates.

Tour operators need global inventory management systems that allow them to flexibly and dynamically design their product and offer the best shopping experience to travellers. To face this challenge, Julià Travel World Wide, an inbound tourism company of the Julià Group, has signed a collaboration agreement with Amadeus Travel IMS, which will allow it to develop a technological platform that, as a market place, distributes its entire offer in a multi-channel way.

The future platform will integrate the entire offer of all the Julià Group companies and distribute it through all its channels: retail travel agencies, online and tour operators. This market place will also allow Julià Group companies to add content from third parties to their own offer, thus completing the catalogue of products and services offered by Julià.

More than 100 professionals from Amadeus Travel IMS will participate in the development of the project, mostly system technicians and computer engineers specialized in tourism products and services. The first phase of the project will be completed at the beginning of 2019.

Grupo Juliá is one of the main business conglomerates specialising in global mobility and tourism services and has more than 12 million clients internationally. Several of the group's companies in Latin America, such as Julià Central de Viajes in Mexico, are already working with Amadeus Travel IMS to manage their inventory, so the new project will also allow the company to centralize all its products in a single inventory management system, improve connectivity and optimize and automate its internal operations.

For Daniel Alonso, General Manager of Grupo Julià, the signing of this agreement "will allow us to manage our product in a much simpler way, aligned to our current needs, providing a series of functionalities and business rules that are very much in demand, such as the display of multi-currency prices or the incorporation of dynamic prices" "This tool will allow us to grow in the strategic line that we have set in the group for the receptive tourism division," adds Alonso.
