Amadeus rolls out the new Amadeus Selling Platform Connect solution

The industry’s only fully online professional booking and fulfilment platform which requires no local installation and is fully adapted to meet the needs of travel agency customers

Madrid, 22 July, 2014: Amadeus, the leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, continues the deployment of Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, the industry’s first fully online professional booking platform, which is the new generation of the Amadeus Selling Platform.
As travellers’ needs evolve, so do the requirements of travel agencies: more and more agents are working with their customers on the road or from home. Amadeus has used its technological expertise to design a solution that adapts to these changing requirements, enabling agencies to anticipate traveller needs while greatly reducing their support and running costs. Amadeus Selling Platform Connect enables travel agencies to access their customers’ bookings from anywhere in the world, from any device with an internet connection. The platform is accessed through a user ID and password, without the necessity to install any software. Unique in the industry this feature greatly broadens travel agencies’ business opportunities. The online nature of the platform also means that updates or new tools are shared instantaneously with the rest of the network.
Amadeus Selling Platform Connect has been adapted with customers’ needs in mind. The platform has strong customisation and regionalisation capabilities, enabling travel agencies to request local content integration or to have the solution packages designed to fit their way of working. It also provides a variety of innovative tools to travel agencies, including the Cryptic Magic tool, which automatically translates cryptic commands into graphical actions, as well as a number of productivity enhancements. The new navigation model provides seamless interaction between the graphical interface and the command page, thanks to advanced user research design techniques.
The new solution is gradually being rolled out across the Amadeus markets, with more than 20 markets deployed today in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and North America, and more regions coming soon. Amadeus offers full support to help customers migrate from existing solutions as well as new customers who join the platform.
