More revenue, and peace of mind: Vistara’s expanding horizons with Amadeus revenue management

With over 15 million happy customers, Vistara has come a long way since our first flight in January 2015. Today, we fly more than 1200 flights every week to 24 destinations and announced the launch of our international operations with flights to Singapore starting 06 August 2019.

All through, we’ve stayed true to our dream of setting new standards in Indian aviation, by adopting global best practices and the latest technologies. Case in point: Vistara is the first Indian airline to start using Amadeus Altéa Suite, just six months after its launch. 

I vividly remember those first “on-the-edge” days as we got familiar with Amadeus Altéa Segment Revenue Management system and its flight optimization method. Nearly four years on, we’re at ease and trust the system knows best.

Our decision to automate revenue management has really paid off. We’ve witnessed a growth in revenues thanks to the system’s ease-of-use and its new generation algorithm. This gives us an accurate forecast of not only peak flights and peak dates, but also lean dates, after factoring in customer’s behaviour and sensitivity to price, the effects of trends, seasons and events, which impact demand and pricing.

True to our name - Vistara which means limitless expanse in Sanskrit language - we’re expanding our opportunities to increase revenues. We’ve recently introduced Ancillaries and branded Fare Families in order to provide more choices to our customers. And Amadeus continues to remain our trusted partner as we grow.
