Travel agents take note: LCC booking made easy

I’m delighted to announce another easyJet and Amadeus partnership ‘first’ today as easyJet is the first to become a light ticketingairline following Amadeus’ recent enhancements!

 

The introduction of enhanced back-office functionality for booking and ticketing will enabletravel agents   to search, process and book easyJet flights in exactly the same way and with the same look and feel of traditional or flag carriers. This is a fantastic development which will improve the service provided and give agents quicker, more efficient and even easier access to easyJet’s inventory than ever before.

We expect this adoption to increase easyJet bookings and help us to continue to strengthen long-term partnerships with travel agents and in turn their relationships with corporate clients. This year, easyJet carried more than 10m business travellers and so this will be another tool which helps us to deliver easyJet’s easy and affordable services to even more of the business travel community.

Travel agents can now:

  • View easyJet from the standard Neutral Availability and Schedule displays alongside all other airlines
  • Use standard pricing workflows and change easyJet PNRs for flights and services easily -just like when a flight is booked with a traditional airline
  • easyJet bookings will be fully integrated into the agent’s internal and external reporting, making the back office adaptation process as efficient as for full service carriers

easyJet’s aim is to deliver value and efficiency to travel agents and their corporate clients by making it easier to search, book and sell easyJet’s great value flights. Working with travel agents in the most effective way is fundamental to our strategy of providing the best service and experience. The higher yield business travel market and our move to become a light ticketing carrier within Amadeus is a key step in driving adoption and bookings from agents.
