We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
When hotels compete in the same destination, screen placement makes a difference. The majority of hotel bookings come from the first listings on the travel agent’s screen. This is not only true for customers; most travel agencies book from the first results on their availability displays. Wherever it may be, city-hub or remotely located, a higher-ranked, clearly visible hotel will create more booking opportunities.
The NH Hotel Group has been steadily growing since its first hotel opened over 40 years ago. Today, the group operates hundreds of hotels across Europe, America and Africa. We are host to more than 16 million guests a year, operate around 60,000 rooms and are leaders in the business meetings and conventions segment.
One of the biggest challenges we have lies in the rapid international expansion plan we are pursuing, opening large establishments and new brands in a short timeframe. It’s critical for us to achieve results in terms of bookings and occupancy from the very start, while preserving our focus on offering customers memorable experiences, offering a superior service with pride and joy.
Throughout our expansion, Amadeus has been an indispensable partner as we grow into new markets, both through its international know-how and solutions. Amadeus Instant Preference (AIP)has helped us position our hotel properties at the top of the screen on the city and availability displays. We’ve been able to create more bookings and drive greater brand awareness - AIP has undoubtedly provided us with that “extra” volume of bookings that is always highly needed, especially in competitive locations such as city centers. I’ve particularly seen the benefit from the reports AIP provides - being able to monitor results in real-time means we can course-correct when needed.
Our partnership with Amadeus will continue being an important part of our continued expansion and growth plans.
