Fortunately for overburdened travel managers around the world – we’ve teamed up with consultancy company Hermes to conduct a research project, based on detailed activity-based costing analysis of the travel spend of 9 corporations at 11 locations in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Ireland.
Corporate travel managers have the tedious assignment of ensuring smooth business trips while looking for ways to reduce cost by an average of 25%.
Having been a corporate travel manager myself earlier in my career, I was initially doubtful it would reveal anything new to me… but it did! Based on core facts, it dispels some of the long-standing myths and gives concrete avenues for real cost savings. We reported the key findings from this study into this easy to understand infographic
depicting the savings potential and the various ways in which travel managers can achieve their objective.
It’s based on a small sample of corporations, but it still brings an interesting insight.
