Amadeus is delighted to announce that our passenger revenue accounting solution has just gone live with our launch partner Saudia.

Our launch partner - Saudia

Founded in 1945, Saudia - the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia - now flies to some 90 destinations around the world from its hubs in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah. In 2012, Saudia became the 19th member of the SkyTeam Alliance, adding to the international profile of Saudia. Saudia has established its position as a key airline in the Middle East region, with more than 24 million passengers boarded in 2012, and has an ambition to expand further.

The decision to partner with Amadeus

With the increasing complexity from the ongoing business expansion, Saudia was looking for a solution best fitted to manage the accounting of its passenger revenue, enabling Saudia to make faster, more accurate revenue decisions. "Saudia's choice to adopt the Amadeus Passenger Revenue Accounting solution is a strategic one [...]", comments Muhammad Ali Albakri, Vice President - Information Technology and Executive Vice President of Finance at Saudia. He continues: "We anticipate huge benefits, not only for the Finance division, but also in the way we can effectively and efficiently support all the other business divisions of the airline in their continuous need for passenger revenue data"
