The rebirth of the senior generation is primarily due to their greater availability of time, higher spending power, and the better quality of life they experience when compared to that of the previous generation of seniors. This demographic has grown at a pace of 122% between the 1980s and 2012, and the global population of people 65+ is expected to triple to 1.5 billion by 2050.
