We host a lot of events as a global company with more than 10,000 employees. Often, these events have hundreds of attendees – both Amadeus' customers and Amadeus– so making sure they all have a positive experience is paramount. They need to be able to easily see schedules, speakers’ lists, and also be truly engaged with their fellow attendees without fumbling through a stack of papers.
Realising these needs – we took advantage of our experience hosting events to develop two incredibly useful apps. The Amadeus Events & EBC mobile apps, the first of their kind for corporate events like ours, were developed to simplify the entire event experience – from providing full event schedules with speakers’ listings to useful local area information, social networking and interactive polling capabilities, ensuring real-time, cost effective and simplified approach to events.
The Amadeus Events mobile app features agendas, speakers list, value space/technology showcase details, downloads for product information and white papers, breakout session information, general event information, location maps, polls/surveys, and social network information. Best of all – it eliminates the need for paper based events – which contributes to sustainability (and sanity for those who have ever been buried under a mountain of papers and having to carry heavy conference bags while attending an event).
Supplementing the events we have recently launched the official app for the Amadeus Executive Briefing Centres located in Nice, Miami, and Bangkok. This mobile app, often referred to as ‘The EBC Concierge’, gives our customers an end to end experience before leaving their offices to attend meetings at these dedicated venues and helps them with a number of functionalities including EBC descriptions, services and floor plans, local area guides, social networking, mapping, feedback surveys, and much more at your fingertips allowing us to help our customers feel at ease at any of these locations.
These apps have gone a long way towards shaping the future of Amadeus events and thus far the feedback has been great – with some customers even wanting to use the apps for their own events! We plan on continuing to develop these apps with many more features to be rolled out in the future – so stay tuned for updates.
