Collaboration is the key to growth and Amadeus, as a global leader, is well positioned to power Ctrip in these new international markets. This new multi-year agreement – in which Amadeus will provide all air content for points of sale outside of Mainland China – initially includes four markets; Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and the USA, with plans to move into other markets after that.
Working hand in hand with our industry partners has helped Ctrip grow to become one of China’s largest travel companies. Now, as the world becomes even more connected, being a truly international travel player is paramount to our success in the future. That is why I am pleased to be teaming up with Amadeus to ride the wave of international expansion beyond mainland China.
This is a major milestone in our relationship and we truly feel that it will provide Ctrip with cutting edge solutions coupled with unique benefits, enabling us to become a one-stop international travel service platform. Some of the solutions that we are currently implementing are Amadeus Master Pricer TravelBoard to carry out our main low fare search, including multi-merchant capability, followed by Amadeus Mini Rules and Amadeus Ticket Changer, with the aim to adopt more solutions in the near future. We believe that the benefits of these solutions will be seen by our customers, as they bring value to the travel shopping and booking process.
