This is what Lufthansa City Center’s (LCC) franchise model is helping them achieve.
By working with LCC, independenttravel agenciesare reaching bigger business volumes, getting better rates with hotels and other travel suppliers, gaining access to the latest travel technology on the market, and developing a compelling travel management company proposition for multinational corporations.
With this new strategic alliance between Amadeus and LCC, more than 600 LCC travel agency partners spanning 85 countries will have access to cutting edge technology in mobile, B2B and B2C self-booking platforms, payment and hotels
Here are some strategic initiatives we are embarking on to ensure that LCC’s travel agency customers succeed: Access to the latest mobile technology
LCC’s independent agencies now have access to a custom tailored mobile app. This app can be modified by each individual agency to have its own contact information and branding as well as LCC branding, and it allows travellers to find all of their flight and reservation details, manage their trip itinerary, check-in to their flights, and search and book for LCC travel content while on the road.
Increased hotel adoption
One of LCC’s strengths is the combined size and scope of its global travel agency network. More combined sales volumes mean better deals with travel providers, like hotel aggregators. LCC aims to further promote the awareness for the Amadeus hotel product with all its new tools and options, in order to increase productivity and reporting processes.
With Amadeus technology and travel agency training, LCC travel agents can book LCC’s special content deals more easily with complete front and back-end integration.
Taking the pain out of payments
Normally, when a travel agent processes a credit card payment, they also get a fee. But with access to Amadeus B2B Wallet Prepaid, travel agencies can use two virtual cards linked to the same account. One card earns travel agencies a rebate on the amount spent, and the other helps avoid payment card surcharges applied by some travel providers. Travel agents can also save time because both options are fully integrated within the Selling Platform interface, so payments can be made while booking a trip.
With this new payment solution, LCC agents can spend less on credit card fees, reduce risk of fraud, improve their reconciliation of sales to provide instant payments to suppliers, and help their corporate customers better control travel spend.
