We’re creating a more connected travel industry, underpinned by sustainability and long-term investor relations.
CEO of GTMC
Business travel is booming. According to Underscore business travel accounts for $1.3 trillion of global spending annually – £39bn in UK alone – and this is set to rise at 3.7% per annum over the next ten years.
In parallel to this growth, our industry is evolving at an increasing pace on numerous fronts such as technology, content fragmentation, and business traveler expectations.
As the only representative body of TMCs in the UK, the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) represents over 80% of all managed business travel in the UK through its members and their 12,000 agents.
At GTMC, we believe it is critical to involve all stakeholders to ensure sustainable growth for business travel in the UK as well as to leverage untapped opportunities. With these goals in mind, GTMC facilitates varied forums, involving relevant stakeholders, to reflect, exchange ideas, share solutions and understand how the industry is evolving with the sole objective to find coherent solutions for sustainable growth.
I’m pleased to announce that we're renewing our partnership with Amadeus, a leading technology provider on a global scale. Amadeus covers a wide spectrum of solutions for the industry (from content distribution, payments, mobile, and technology for airlines, travel agencies, hotels and airports). With its deep industry expertise, I strongly believe that Amadeus brings real added value to the various GTMC forums. Additionally, Amadeus´ open, dynamic and connected Live Travel Space echoes our desire to bring all stakeholders around the table to find workable, common solutions.
Together, we can successfully address today´s and tomorrow´s challenges and meet the ever-changing demands and expectations of business travelers.
